When a few weeks ago, Ned Price, US State Department spokesman, said during a briefing that “…it is in the interest of the whole world that all US populations is vaccinated”. Yes! He said precisely that! I thought to a typical mistake that poorly briefed or not enough sensible spokesmen usually do. Price was questioned about the poor and slow response that Biden Administration was offering to India’s catastrophic Covid-19 situation and why vaccines and materials necessary to product them were then banned to be shipped overseas. Later, as Winston Churchill used to say, the US finally did the right thing. However, to listen Price’s unfortunate statement pronounced also by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken interview by the Financial Times aside the recent G7 Summit in London is unbelievable.

How is possible that an experienced and sophisticated personality like Blinken might utter such provocative and insensible words so imbued with so much exceptionalism, while the US struggle to recover is lost moral ground?
